About Spelling

If you follow my blog or know me at all, you will soon realize that I spell certain words differently from what you are used to seeing on most web sites. This is because I am Canadian and I am a spelling NUT. It drives me crazy when things are misspelled. So naturally, it would rub me the wrong way to purposely leave out letters from words that I know need them. Canadian spelling is actually a blend of British and U.S.

Design Space: FONT REFERENCE GUIDE

Cricut Design Space:  Accessible Fonts

I have just completed a long project which I think will be helpful not only for myself, but for anyone using Cricut Design Space.

As a new user of Design Space, I found I needed a handy Reference Guide for all the fonts available to me that are designated as "Accessible" REGULAR fonts.

The drop-down menu just did not allow me to see the fonts big enough to help me in deciding which ones I wanted to use on any given project. I spent too much time scrolling down through dozens of fonts, searching for a font and then selecting it... only to discover that I didn't like it on my project. And the search continued.

So, being a stickler for detail, I decided to create a list of ALL the regular Fonts. This took days to compile using three software programs. The finished Guide is an alphabetical listing in a PDF that is 34 pages in length. See picture above of the first two pages.

I have included visual samples of EVERY REGULAR Cricut Font listed in Design Space. The list is complete as of the date of compilation (February 21, 2016).

It's so much easier to leaf through the pages of my printed Font Reference Guide as part of my designing process. Just looking at the various fonts in large sizes helps me envision them on my projects. It is now more enjoyable thinking of creative ways to use these fonts. The fonts are now part of my creative process in making my projects! I have chosen to print out the PDF Guide, but I can also choose to view them in the Adobe Reader, enlarging them as big as I want on screen.

Because of the work involved in creating this useful Resource, I am selling the Font Guide PDF for a nominal cost of five dollars ($5.00). Click the link below to order your copy today.

About Me

My photo
I guess you might call me a "right brainer", loving all things creative. Cardmaking is the perfect hobby for me as it allows me to be totally creative, combining design with poetry or verses I can compose myself. With Christmas being such an important occasion for cardmaking and crafting, I decided to create a separate blog just for Christmas projects. "It's All About Christmas" will host all my Christmas items. "Gracenotes For Today" will still feature items every other occasion of the year. I hope you'll drop by often and stay awhile!
