JOY To You At Christmas

This is probably my favourite Christmas Card. A lot went into it as you will notice. The recipient was my very musical daughter so I used an actual excerpt of the music from "Joy To The World".

I also used a lot of gold gilding on the edges and lightly sponged over the music.

This card was submitted for the Winter Wonderland challenge.

I loved making this card. Be sure check out the inside picture for the surprise musical excerpt from the familiar Christmas song.

Snowman Card

Dimensional Snowman Brings Frosty Wishes

I enjoyed making this little winter scene featuring a rolly-polly snowman. The snow layer is cut from thin, sparkled felt. The snowman and broom were from Christmas Cheer.

The phrase Merry Christmas was cut from Beyond Birthdays. For the face of the snowman, I had to cut a blackout layer in black so that his eyes and mouth and buttons would show up black.

The rest of the card is fairly self-explanatory.

This card was fairly simple to whip up, yet it looks quite elegant and fun.

I used the Christmas Cheer cartridge for this one. The hat's fringe and pom-pom are layered several times, then popped and sparkled with lots of glitter.

I wanted a grown-up version of Santa's hat  so went with a darker red. Even the green is different than you would normally use for Christmas. Also, I inked the edges in both red and metallic gold around all sides, inside and out. When done, the whole thing looked quite striking.
