Mid-January Catch-Up

Hi, crafters! I haven't blogged anything since before Christmas so I have some catching up to do. Each January, I feel a kind of let-down settling in after the hustle and bustle of Christmas and all that fun.

The snow that right now is a beautiful pristine blanket in my area of Michigan is making it so bright outside, I find myself excitedly looking forward to February. Is that crazy? The days are getting longer, and the sun seems much brighter.  It's a wonderful time of year to do my crafts. I am busily working on some Valentine cards and hope to post them soon. The problem is, I can't give away the surprises because the recipients of my cards need to see them before the rest of the world. But I will try to come up with some special things for my blog.

So, back to my craft room. I often wonder if I am the ONLY person who has a difficult time narrowing down my options when making cards. Seriously, I have so many great supplies and the ideas in my are jumping all over the place. WHERE to start? That is my dilemma.

If any of you have a similar problem in narrowing down your design ideas, I would love to hear your solutions and suggestions. Meanwhile, I will keep muddling through by trial and error. Happy crafting, everyone!

  1. I found that I was so overwhelmed by this problem that I had almost stopped creating all together. I would only go in the craft room when I absolutely had too - and then would be forced to create something in such a short time line that I could. But... after praying and listening (really listening) I was led to Christian Paper Crafts and decided to start posting and participating in the challenges - since then, it is just seeming to "come together" - using the sketches there and mojo monday limit what you can use - that has helped too... now the creative juices are flowing full force and I am having trouble finding the time to do all I want! Sorry for the short novel on this post - have a blessed day!
