I can hardly believe we are approaching the end of May! There are a few weddings in my family this summer and I know I'll be busy creating cards, gift bags and various decor items for those special occasions.
I thought I would pull out a couple of pics from my February crafts... mostly to get myself inspired to get back into cardmaking!
First up ~ a gift bag for my little grandson's 1st birthday. The party theme was "Zoo Animals" and my daughter made the most delicious cake you've ever tasted, in the shape of a lion, shown below.
For this one I used Celebrations cartridge. I used textured card stock and layered it a couple of times for stronger dimension. Then I shadowed the phrase "Happy Birthday" in black. In the center of the pompom on the hat, I added a fluffy white pom-pom. The candle flame is glittered with sparkly gold paint.
Here's the cake my daughter, Rebecca made. The inside was delicious orange and white chocolate mousse. Amazing!
This cake took many hours to complete. That's what I call a labour of love!
If you'd like to have Rebecca and Julia bake up a yummy batch of cupcakes for your next party, you'll find all the info here on the Tiers of Joy Facebook page.
