The common greeting to give someone on their natal day is "Happy Birthday". I wanted to say something different. Birthdays are often a time when we REFLECT on the past year. We may think about our accomplishments, joys, changes, and fun that have all taken place.
With this card, I wanted to say more than just "Happy Birthday". I wanted to demonstrate that I understand how special this year has been, and I wanted to give her a reminder to pause and... REFLECT.
We have so many reasons to be thankful. And as I was making this card, I fondly remembered the beautiful recipient. Thoughts of her during childhood, visions of her smile, her cheerful laugh, and so much more came to mind.
That's what I love about card making. Every card I make is uniquely designed with that special person in mind. This one is for my lovely daughter.
And oh yes... on the inside it does say "Happy Birthday".
About the Card
I gave the mirror frame a distressed look by combining black and silver inks sponged and layered.
Cartridges used: Forever Young, Storybook (for the envelope), and this one will surprise you - Life Is A Beach.
This pic illustrates the embossing better.
