How to Make Action Wobble Springs

1-inch action wobbles, by Grace Baxter

Action Wobbles add a lot of fun animation to your cards. The best part is, they are EASY and cheap to make!

Instructions in the video show how to make action wobble springs in Cricut Design Space.

You can also easily make them using a 1-inch punch to cut the cardstock circles. Make a few or make a batch!

Tools and Materials

  • Card stock, 110 lb or 100 lb at a minimum
  • Wire, fine gauge. I used florist's wire
  • Scissors
  • Wire cutters
  • Scotch tape or other clear tape, 1-inch- Dowel, marker, glue pen or anything with a round 1/2" barrel
  • Glue dots

TIPS:

  • You may want to use coloured card stock for the wobble to match your card project.
  • For low profile springs, cut wire at 1-1/2 turns using a 1/2" dowel. For higher profile spring, wind and cut wire at 2 full turns.
  • Instead of a dowel, use a marker, makeup brush handle or pen ... in fact ANYTHING that has a 1/2" barrel will work.
