Shirt Birthday Card
I created this card as a generic birthday card for a spiffy dresser who likes buttoned-down collars.
There are some fabulous rugged designs in this pack.
The one I used for this card looks exactly like fabric.
I added extra white stitching around the collar, pocket, down the front opening and across the bottom.
The personalized name is cut from black vinyl.
Since this card is for my brother and I know I can tease him, I added a funny card to the pocket "handkerchief".
Embellishments
For the shirt buttons, I used gemstones that were already a charcoal colour.
They added shine and dimension to the card.
I composed a humorous verse of several points about growing older.
My recipient loved the card and everyone at the dinner table got a good laugh about it.
That's exactly the reaction I was hoping to get.
THIS is what I love about designing my own cards and writing my own poems and verses. There's nothing quite as special as seeing the reactions and joy of the recipients when my cards suit them PERFECTLY!
