Wedding Shower Cupcake Toppers

My daughter's recent wedding shower featured the colours hot pink, white and black. Instead of cake, the girls decided they wanted fancy cupcakes and asked if I could make some toppers.

For these little paper gems, I used the Sweethearts cartridge and Storybook for the scalloped and marquee shapes. The overall size of the flags is 2x2 inches. "Tying the knot" is slightly wider because of the marquee shape.

By the way, the delicious cupcakes were made by the younger partner of Sugar Mama, my daughter Rebecca. The Bride-to-be, my daughter Julia, is the other "Sugar Mama" but could not be in on the creation of these delectible cupcakes. Some were chocolate, some were vanilla and all had butter cream cheese frosting. Be sure to check out the Sugar Mama website to see all the yummy flavours and combinations available.
