Flip-Flop Gift Bag and Card

Who doesn't love flip-flops? This gift bag set is all dressed up in bright summer colours of coral-orange, lime and bright teal.

The recipient of this birthday gift is a pre-teen whom I know will love the playful colours. She practically lives in her flip-flops, so this theme works better than the typical balloons and hats birthday designs.



I started with a crisp white bag. Using the Life Is A Beach cartridge and the Cricut Design Studio, I cut the flip-flop phrase and shadowed it heavily in black.

For a little bling, I added teal rhinestones to the flip-flop bands.

 Using the card feature, I cut a card to match and sized it down slightly. I can't give you exact cutting measurements because I designed these cuts using Cricut Design Studio. However, the finished card is 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches.

For the inside message, I created a text box in Word and composed a simple birthday greeting. The font is Comic Sans, a favourite of mine which works well for young people's cards.

The finished message size, edge to edge is 3x3.
